Bonifay
Located in Northwest Florida's Holmes County, Bonifay is centrally located between the major cities of Pensacola, Tallahassee and Panama City. The area is best known for its opportunities for outdoor recreation including paddling on Holmes Creek and Ecofina Creek Canoe Trail and camping and diving at Vortex Spring, the largest diving facility in Florida. Fishing is also popular, with trophy largemouth bass taken from Lake Victor and other local bodies of water. Biking and hiking are popular at Ecofina Creek Water Management Area, Pine Log State Forest (includes 9 miles of the Florida National Scenic Trail) and Ponce De Leon Springs State Park, which is a great family-friendly recreation area. Be sure to stop in Downtown Bonifay's shops, where you can pick up some Western wear for the Northwest Florida Championship Rodeo in October.
