Getting to Northwest Florida
Spanning the area from Pensacola east almost to Tallahassee, Northwest Florida is best known for its emerald-green waters, white-sand beaches, sportfishing contests, distinctly Southern feel and laid-back locals, but visitors are sometimes surprised to find it has a sophisticated side, too. Upscale resorts, posh boutiques and chef-owned restaurants are springing up alongside fish shacks, mom-and-pop motels and souvenir shops. This mix of old Florida and new makes for a diverse region that welcomes all walks of life.
